Notes on types and locations of damage

Below is a summary of the main types of damage discovered on the Chapel wall paintings during the teaching work-sites organised by ICR from 1988 to 1992, in preparation for the overall restoration. The glossary includes all types of damage and altered states which were subsequently treated during the restoration work.

Abrasions on the plaster
